The City

Don’t just go to church on Sundays. Be the church everyday. At Salem we have many opportunities for you to get involved in the St. Louis community. By serving others we build relationships, share God’s love, and give hope to those in need of care.  If you need more information about one of our opportunities or have any questions please contact the church office.

Donate to the Outreach Ministry at our South-City Site The Connection
During the summer months we reach out in a tangible way to the homeless in the Carondelet neighborhood by distributing water, easy access food, basic clothing, and personal care items.  Please help us care for the lost, forgotten, and invisible amongst us. Drop off donation items in Out of Our Bounty or in the church office.

st louis public school supply list
Did you know that each year 90,000 St. Louis area children cannot afford basic school supplies?  You can help make a difference in the life of a child.  Stop by the lobby before or after worship to pick a pencil tag with a list of supplies needed for a specific grade level.  Purchase the supplies, and return them in a paper bag with the pencil tag attached securely by Sunday, July 29.  We hope you will join us as we help empower St. Louis children to learn!  Questions call (314) 991-0546 or visit  Want to make a financial donation?  Click here.

Rock-A-Baby Team
First Wednesday of the Month,
11:00 am-3:00 pm
Looking for a place to serve? We are in need of volunteers to join the Rock-a-Baby group that watches children in the Day Care at Kingdom House while teachers attend professional development and staff meetings.

Do you have an hour during the week to give to help students with reading and math? Salem has partnered with the St. Louis Public Schools to provide tutors for students. You do not have to be a mathematician or an author to help young boys and girls become better students. We welcome anyone who is interested in tutoring! Individuals must be motivated to help kids.
